Job summary

HDR is seeking a Water Business Group Professional Services Director to provide executive leadership for technical quality, project delivery excellence, and professional practices. This role aligns technical practice groups, strengthens delivery capabilities, and positions HDR as a leader in global architecture markets. Reporting to the WBG President, it focuses on quality, risk management, and delivery improvement across disciplines and regions.

Qualifications

• 15 years of experience.
• Experience leading technical teams and practices.
• Active participation in AEC industry associations.
• Commitment to HDR"s employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor development and training of staff in technical, professional and service delivery competencies.
• Lead evaluation and adoption of professional services technologies and digital delivery tools.
• Coordinate staff training in policies, processes and risk management.
• Drive continuous improvement through QA/QC programs and standards.
• Support recruitment, staffing and workforce planning within the group.
• Foster collaboration across business groups and with leadership on delivery strategies.
