Job summary

BELFOR is seeking a Water Damage Specialist at an intermediate level to lead residential and small commercial water losses, applying IICRC standard work practices and operating extraction and moisture detection equipment. You will document moisture distribution and oversee junior technicians, with occasional travel and night/weekend work.

The role requires 12 months of Basic Level Water Damage experience with BELFOR or equivalent, and participation in at least 25 water damage projects,

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
• Knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Must carry current IICRC WRT designation.
• Familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book.
• Ability to use meters and IR camera and distinguish affected vs unaffected materials.
• Ability to draw sketches, read floor plans, and complete moisture and psychrometric logs.
• Understanding of air mover calculations, LGR dehumidification charts, electrical power specs and circuits.
• Mastery in recording data with listed meters.
• Experience supervising small crews (up to 10 people).
• Eligible to operate a motor vehicle per BELFOR policy.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from Supervisor and direct teams in proper PPE usage.
• Review daily project requirements, document progress, and notify managers of challenges.
• Provide field documentation, photos, charts, and sketches for projects.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain equipment.
• Maintain attention to detail and uphold BELFOR standards.
• Ensure strong customer service and professional conduct.
• Work with time constraints to meet deadlines.
• Occasionally travel and work at night and on weekends.
• Provide timely and accurate time worked and usage data.
• Attend BELFOR operations and required security training.
