Job summary

BELFOR is seeking a Water Damage Specialist at an intermediate level to lead the water damage team handling residential and small commercial losses. You will apply IICRC standards, operate extraction equipment, and document moisture distribution for each project.

You will supervise crews, coordinate field operations, ensure PPE usage, and travel to sites—including nights and weekends—to meet deadlines and deliver quality restoration results.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
• Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Carry current IICRC WRT designation.
• Familiar with BELFOR Water Damage Book.
• Proper use of meters and IR camera, understanding affected vs unaffected materials.
• Ability to read floor plans and draw moisture-related logs.
• Experience supervising small crews and coordinating field work.

Responsibilities

• Direct the teams in the use of the right PPE for the job.
• Review the daily requirements of projects, document progress and notify managers of progress and challenges encountered.
• Provide appropriate field documentation, photographic records, charts and sketches for various projects.
• Perform daily inspections of vehicle safety and maintenance and keep equipment in good condition.
• Travel and work nights and weekends as needed.
• Inform timely and accurately about time worked and materials used.
• Attend BELFOR operations and required security training.
