Job summary

BELFOR is seeking a Water Damage Specialist at an intermediate level to lead residential and small commercial water damage projects in the Durham area. You will manage teams, assess moisture, and document loss and recovery efforts using IICRC standards.

The role requires hands-on work with delicate equipment, field documentation, and occasional travel; the position is a critical step in BELFOR’s tiered training path, with opportunities to mentor newer technicians and advance within the company.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard and S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Must carry current IICRC WRT designation.
• Experience supervising small crews (up to 10 people) in residential/commercial losses.

Responsibilities

• Direct the water damage team and assign tasks.
• Review project requirements and document progress for managers.
• Maintain equipment and ensure safety compliance.
• Create moisture maps and document moisture content for projects.
• Travel and night/weekend work may be required.
