Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration in Durham, NC seeks an intermediate Water Damage Specialist to head the water damage team on residential and small commercial losses. The role requires knowledge of IICRC S500/S520 standards and hands-on use of water extraction and moisture detection equipment.

You will document moisture extent, supervise crews, travel and work nights/weekends as needed, and mentor basic technicians toward proficiency.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
• Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Carry current IICRC WRT designation.
• Familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book.
• Proper use of meters and IR camera; understanding affected vs unaffected materials.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from Supervisor.
• Direct teams in PPE usage.
• Review daily project requirements; document progress and report challenges.
• Provide field documentation, photos, charts and sketches for projects.
• Inspect vehicle safety and maintenance daily; keep equipment in good condition.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and professionalism.
• Comply with BELFOR standards to safeguard clients' property.
• Demonstrate knowledge of customer service principles.
• Work within time constraints to meet deadlines.
• May travel and work nights/weekends as required.
• Report time worked and equipment used accurately.
• Attend BELFOR operations and safety training.
