Job summary

BELFOR Property Restoration is seeking a Water Damage Specialist at an intermediate level to lead the water damage team on residential and small commercial losses. You will apply IICRC S500/S520 standards and manage moisture assessment, equipment, and documentation for complex projects.

The role requires supervising up to 10 technicians, strong customer service, and the ability to travel and work nights/weekends as needed. Proficiency with moisture meters and infrared cameras is essential.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
• Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Carry current IICRC WRT designation.
• Familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book.
• Proper use of meters and IR camera; distinguish affected materials.
• Draw sketches, read floor plans, log Moisture Content, and Pychrometric Log; determine drying goals.
• Understand air mover calculations and electrical power specs.

Responsibilities

• Direct the water damage team and use appropriate PPE.
• Review project requirements and document progress for managers.
• Provide field documentation, photos, charts, and sketches for projects.
• Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and keep equipment in good condition.
• Ensure adherence to BELFOR standards to safeguard property.
• Demonstrate strong customer service principles and professional demeanor.
• Meet deadlines under time constraints; may travel at night or on weekends.
• Record time worked and equipment usage accurately.
• Attend BELFOR operations and required security training.
