Job summary

BELFOR Environmental in the United States is seeking an intermediate Water Damage Specialist to lead a residential and small commercial team. You will apply IICRC S500/S520 standards, oversee moisture removal, use surveying and drying equipment, and mentor junior technicians to handle multiple losses efficiently.

Responsibilities include documenting progress, safety, and ensuring proper field records, with travel and night/weekend duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of IICRC S500 Water Damage Standard.
• Working knowledge of IICRC S520 Mold Remediation Standard.
• Carry current IICRC WRT designation.
• Familiarity with BELFOR Water Damage Book.
• Proficient with meters and IR camera and moisture-related materials.
• Demonstrate ability to sketch, read plans and moisture logs.
• Understanding of air mover calculations and electrical specs.
• Experience with HydroSensor, Thermal Hygrometer, NavPro or equivalent.
• Supervise small crews on residential/commercial losses.
• Valid driver status per BELFOR policy; English fluent.

Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from Supervisor and direct teams.
• Use appropriate PPE for each job and maintain safety.
• Review project requirements, document progress and report issues.
• Provide field documentation, photos, charts and sketches.
• Inspect vehicle safety and maintain equipment.
• Comply with BELFOR standards to protect client property.
• Manage time constraints and meet deadlines; occasional travel.
• Occasionally work nights/weekends as required.
• Document time and materials used accurately.
• Attend BELFOR operations and security trainings.
