Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration required for leadership roles.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Ability to work cooperatively with HDR leaders on business class efforts.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build close working relationships with related business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead technical risk management and quality assurance through processes and reviews.
• Oversee development and application of technical tools, standards, and techniques.
• Manage staff assignments and optimize staffing across projects.
• Collaborate with market sector directors to craft strategic plans for the business class.
• Lead applied research strategy and engage with industry organizations.
• Maintain relationships with university programs for workforce development.
• Facilitate teamwork and communication across offices and units.
• Monitor direction, QA, tools, and workload allocation.
• Recruit and train to grow technical capacity.
• Support client development and project pursuits.
• Represent HDR in industry organizations and events.
• Oversee Practice Groups within Business Class.
• Capture lessons learned for project delivery and improvements.
• Monitor company performance and implement corrective actions.
