Job summary

HDR is seeking a WTEM Business Class Director to lead the Wastewater Treatment and Effluent Management program. You will direct technical staff, oversee project planning, and maintain client-facing relationships across HDR's national footprint.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 10+ years of experience, and professional registration. Travel to multiple HDR locations is expected and a key focus is advancing HDR's technical differentiation and industry leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional registration for technical leadership roles is required.
• Experience leading diverse teams and collaborating across functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Coordinate with related business classes, market sectors, and operations.
• Lead risk management through reviews, advisories, and claims prevention.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development and application of tools, standards, and techniques.
• Staff projects with qualified personnel and optimize resource use.
• Develop strategic plans with market sector directors and leadership.
• Lead research engagement to advance WTEM capabilities and standards.
• Foster relationships with universities for workforce development and recruiting.
