Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with 5+ years in wastewater treatment and 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Wastewater Operator License, Class B.
• Undergraduate degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff; hires, assigns work, trains, and counsels employees.
• Prepares and submits monthly reports to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
• Collects samples and performs analytical tests; calculates dosages and process parameters.
• Transports biosolids between facilities and oversees related operations.
• Oversees Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.
• Maintains equipment, performs preventive maintenance, and calibrations.
• Receives requisitions for equipment, chemicals, labs, and services; supports procurement.
• Conducts tours of facilities and enforces safety procedures.
