The role requires a Bachelor's in chemistry, biology or related field, 5+ years wastewater experience, and a Texas Class A certification. Supervisory duties include hiring, training, and performance reviews, with emphasis on regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field required.
• Minimum five years of wastewater experience; eight years with training substitution allowed.
• Two years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must hold TCEQ Class A Wastewater Certification.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the overall operations of the Wastewater Treatment Department.
• Manages wastewater effluent and sludge disposal to meet regulations.
• Advises Utilities Division staff and coordinates projects.
• Performs hiring, evaluations, training, and discipline for operations staff.
• Prepares performance evaluations and weekly staff updates for management.
• Ensures safety programs and city policies are followed.
