Job summary

You will manage staff, coordinate maintenance, and prepare reports for the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality while ensuring regulatory compliance and safe operations at multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with at least five years in wastewater treatment operations.
• Minimum of one year supervisory experience.
• Wastewater Operator License, Class B required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Preferred undergraduate degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff, directs work, schedules, training, and performance appraisals.
• Prepares monthly reports to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
• Collects samples and performs analytical tests; calculates loadings and dosages.
• Transports biosolids between facilities.
• Supervises the operation and administration of SCADA systems.
• Oversees maintenance, preventive maintenance, and calibrations at the plant site.
• Researches and prepares requisitions for equipment, chemicals, and lab services.
• Conducts tours of facilities.
• Supervises operations, process operations, and safety procedures.
