Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with five years of progressively responsible wastewater treatment operations experience, including at least one year in a supervisory role.
• Wastewater Operator License, Class B.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
• Preferred: Undergraduate degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, directs, and evaluates assigned staff and handles hiring and termination decisions.
• Prepares and submits monthly reports to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
• Collects samples and performs analytical tests; analyzes data and plans bio-monitoring projects.
• Transports biosolids between facilities and oversees SCADA systems operation.
• Oversees maintenance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and equipment calibrations at plant sites.
• Researches and prepares requisitions for equipment, chemicals, supplies, and contract lab work.
• Conducts tours of assigned facilities and enforces safety procedures.
