Job summary

Veolia is seeking a Wastewater Operator to operate and maintain sludge and dewatering systems at an industrial facility. The role requires learning and independently running pumps, centrifuges, generators, and related equipment, with the ability to work as part of a team and handle on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Some experience in related position preferred.
• Must read/write/understand English (operational, safety, quality).
• Must perform basic mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain sludge, dewatering treatment, processing and testing equipment to purify water to meet customer specifications.
• Learn and independently operate pumps, engines, centrifuge, generators, valves, gates, mixers, conveyors, blowers, dryers, chemical feed, odor control, disinfection equipment, sludge processing filters, belt presses and measuring/control devices.
• Work in a team environment and be willing to take on additional or new responsibilities.
• Use computer programs for process control.
