HDR is seeking a WTEM Business Class Director to lead HDR’s wastewater and effluent management program. You will guide technical staff, mentor leaders, and drive strategic growth across market sectors and regions.

You will build relationships with clients, universities, and industry groups, ensuring high-quality delivery, risk management, and innovative solutions. This executive role emphasizes HDR’s employee-owned culture and cross-disciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture/Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional registration for core service area.
• Experience managing diverse teams.
• Collaborates with other HDR directors and operations managers.
• Committed to quality and HDR values including employee ownership.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build relationships across business classes, market sectors and operations.
• Lead and participate in technical risk management and advisory services.
• Drive quality assurance and control processes with the Quality Manager.
• Oversee development of technical tools, standards and techniques.
• Oversee staff assignments and effective use of work sharing.
• Develop strategic plans with market sector directors and leadership.
• Lead applied research and industry engagement to advance capabilities.
• Maintain relationships with university programs for workforce development.
• Coordinate cross-office teamwork and communication across HDR.
