Job summary

HDR, a global employee-owned firm, seeks a WTEM Business Class Director to lead technical capabilities and risk management for wastewater treatment programs. The role emphasizes strategic planning, client relations, and cross-functional teamwork across offices and market sectors.

You will mentor engineers, oversee tools and standards, coordinate with market sector directors, and contribute to HDR's growth while upholding our inclusive, employee-owned culture. Travel up to 50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional or Architecture/Engineering registration for technical design leadership roles.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other business class directors, operations managers and marketing managers.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Coordinate with related business classes, market sectors and operations.
• Lead technical risk management and ensure quality assurance.
• Oversee development of tools, standards, and techniques to improve service quality and efficiency.
• Mentor engineers and manage staff assignments.
• Support client management and project development.
