HDR is seeking a WTEM (Wastewater Treatment and Effluent Management) Business Class Director to lead technical capabilities, drive strategy, and support project pursuits across HDR’s national network.

The role requires 10+ years in engineering leadership, a relevant professional registration, and a commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture. Expect significant travel and cross‑functional collaboration across geographic regions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in related field.
• Professional registration in Architecture/Engineering where core service is technical design.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with HDR leaders across business classes and regions.
• Committed to quality and HDR employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class.
• Build relationships with related business classes, market sectors and operations.
• Lead technical risk management and QA processes across projects.
• Oversee development of technical tools, standards and techniques to improve service quality.
• Oversee staffing and resource allocation for projects and worksharing.
• Support client development and project pursuits; mentor technical leaders.
