Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 15 years of relevant environmental experience or Bachelor's degree with 7 years of relevant environmental experience.
• Knowledge of current environmental rules and regulations and ability to communicate impact plans to local leadership for budget development.
• Ability to review engineering designs and specifications to ensure compliance with environmental rules and regulations.
• Comprehensive knowledge of facilities and relationships with environmental rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of waste technology strategies, business plans, goals, and best practices for refinery performance.
• Participate in audits, reviews, scorecards, and provide KPI updates on waste-related performance and environmental issues.
• Identify and advance waste management projects that improve compliance, reliability, and operating performance.
• Develop compliance strategies for environmental regulations and permit activities; support legal interpretations.
• Mentor site environmental professionals; oversee annual meetings and monthly forums for waste management.
• Manage relationships with vendors, consultants and technology partners; review technical work and new disposal tech.
• Support business development opportunities and identify innovation through industry engagement.

Education

High School Diploma or GED with 15 years of environmental experience or Bachelor's degree in a HESS/Engineering field with 7 years of relevant experience
