Job summary

The role requires extensive experience in environmental rules, engineering design review, and process technology application, with travel up to 50%. This position supports cross-functional teams and external partners to drive safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 15 years of relevant environmental experience.
• Bachelor’s degree with 7 years of relevant environmental experience.
• Detailed knowledge of current environmental rules and regulations and ability to communicate impact plans to leadership for budget development.
• Ability to review engineering designs to ensure compliance with environmental rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and governance of waste technology strategies and best practices supporting refinery performance.
• Monitor site performance, develop scorecards, and report KPI and environmental updates to management.
• Identify and advance waste management projects and disposal opportunities to improve compliance and operating performance.
• Develop regulatory compliance strategies and support legal interpretations of rules.
• Mentor site environmental professionals and coordinate annual training and knowledge sharing.
• Manage vendor, consultant, and technology partner relationships and evaluate new disposal technologies.
• Support business development opportunities and identify innovations through industry engagement.
