Job summary

The City of Albany, Georgia is seeking a Waste Services Supervisor to direct daily garbage collection operations and route management. You will supervise truck drivers and crews, enforce safety standards, and coordinate repairs and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with vocational/technical training in business/public administration.
• Two years of solid waste/multi-crew supervision experience.
• Valid Georgia CDL with appropriate endorsement(s).

Responsibilities

• Direct daily truck drivers and collection crews on refuse routes.
• Inspect trucks for safety and coordinate repairs.
• Prepare route listings and adjust for service changes.
• Respond to customer inquiries and manage public relations.
• Enforce division rules and city ordinances.
• Attend management meetings and maintain records.
