Job summary

The City of Albany, Georgia is seeking a Senior Crew Supervisor to oversee on-site work across streets, sewers, drainage, parks, and related public infrastructure. You will manage multiple crews, assign tasks, ensure safety, and coordinate with engineers and inspectors.

Responsibilities include planning, directing equipment use, reviewing timesheets, and ensuring high priority projects are completed on time.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; supervisory experience preferred.
• Valid Georgia Class A CDL and Flagging Certification required.
• Experience supervising construction, maintenance, and repair of streets, sewer/drainage, parks, or similar infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews on site, direct work, and allocate personnel.
• Plan, prioritize, and schedule activities to meet project objectives.
• Ensure safety practices, inspect facilities and equipment, and enforce safety procedures.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and supplies; obtain permits as needed.
• Interact with engineers, inspectors, and other agencies for technical guidance.
• Maintain timesheets and prepare progress reports for management.
• Communicate with the public and respond to inquiries about projects.
