Athens Services is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage waste collection routes and driver performance, ensuring adequate resources daily. The role includes coaching drivers for productivity and safety, and coordinating with sales, customer services, and maintenance to resolve issues.

Responsibilities include tracking route execution, managing overtime, enforcing regulatory limits, and leading weekly safety meetings. A strong leadership record and knowledge of DOT/OSHA rules are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 1–2 years of management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledgeable in Federal DOT regulations.
• Knowledgeable in OSHA standard regulations.
• Exceptional leadership abilities.
• Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, distribute, monitor daily route assignments to ensure service.
• Ensure drivers are available daily and cover last-minute call-ins with spare resources.
• Monitor operations and communicate route changes to drivers.
• Coordinate daily needs with Maintenance and with the Operations Manager.
• Monitor driver and helper time/attendance; minimize overtime.
• Conduct weekly safety meetings and reinforce safe work practices.
