Job summary

City of Albany and Dougherty County, GA seeks a Supervisor of Garbage and Refuse Collection to plan, direct, and oversee daily truck routes and staff performance. You will assign trucks, modify routes, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the division.

Qualifications

• Two years of solid waste/multi-crew supervision experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of truck drivers and collection crews.
• Provide route listings and adjust drivers' daily routes as needed.
• Ensure routes and services comply with division standards and procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections of vehicles and coordinate repairs.
• Respond to customer inquiries and maintain public relations.
• Assist in investigating citizen complaints and operational issues.
