Job summary

City of Albany, Georgia is seeking a Senior Crew Supervisor to oversee on-site crews handling streets, sewer and drainage systems, parks, and infrastructure projects. This role directs work, allocates personnel, and ensures safety and efficiency on major initiatives.

The incumbent will coordinate equipment, materials and permits, liaise with engineers and inspectors, and provide management with progress reports. A CDL and Flagging Certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years experience as a supervisor over construction, maintenance and repair of streets, sewer and drainage systems, parks facilities, or other public infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the setting up of work, directs crews, and assigns personnel.
• Plans, prioritizes, and schedules work to meet objectives with available resources.
• Maintains safe work zones, enforces safety procedures, and inspects equipment for safe operation.
• Coordinates equipment, materials, tools, and supplies; processes work orders and reports.
• Communicates with supervisor, employees, other departments, and the public to coordinate activities and resolve problems.
• Operates and oversees heavy equipment on-site to advance projects involving streets, drainage, parks, and infrastructure.
• Responds to emergencies or inclement weather scenarios and provides supervision accordingly.
