Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years in the waste industry preferred (landfill or transfer operations).
• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• SWANA certified transfer station operator within 60 days for Transfer Stations; hazardous materials handling training required for landfills.

Responsibilities

• Screen, hire, train, develop and evaluate workforce to meet service commitments.
• Adhere to wage/hour laws and compensate personnel accordingly.
• Maintain safe working conditions and enforce safety guidelines.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance to reduce downtime and costs.
• Schedule safety meetings and document attendance.
• Maintain records and manage inventory of supplies.
