Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an experienced General Manager to direct local facility operations in Orlando, FL.

You will lead managers, sales, admin, and maintenance teams to deliver safe, efficient services while driving profitability and growth. You will oversee safety programs, workforce development, and customer service excellence, with strategic responsibility for budget, capital plans, and operating results.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of operational leadership experience in waste management/environmental services or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university.
• Solid understanding of collection equipment, compaction systems, and route optimization software.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L and capex budgets.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Commitment to OSHA/DOT safety regulations and environmental compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate facility managers, sales leadership, administrative personnel, and maintenance teams.
• Drive Safety First culture and implement safety programs to protect employees and lower claims.
• Oversee 30M+ in annual revenue P&L, budgeting, growth objectives, and EBITDA targets.
• Lead talent development, succession planning, and ensure wage/hour compliance.
• Partner with sales teams to identify growth opportunities and manage contracts and pricing.
