Job summary

Duke Energy is offering an engineering internship in its Waste and Groundwater Programs within Environmental, Health, and Safety. You will work with engineers on real-world projects, review data, and assist with regulatory submittals across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an ABET-accredited degree in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Must not graduate prior to August 2027.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist environmental professionals with review and management of analytical and compliance data.
• Prepare reports, plans, procedures, and regulatory submittals.
• Evaluate monitoring results and coordinate with laboratories, site personnel, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
• Support waste characterization, disposal activities, records reviews, permit and regulatory assessments, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
