Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking an engineering intern to contribute to the Waste and Groundwater Programs within Environmental, Health, and Safety. You will assist with data review, reports, and regulatory submittals while gaining exposure to environmental compliance at generating facilities.

The role emphasizes office-based technical work, collaboration with state and federal agencies, and opportunities for professional growth during a 10-12 week internship/Co-op summer session.

Qualifications

• Enrolled and pursuing an ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil, Chemical, and/or Environmental Engineering
• Must not graduate prior to August 2027
• Cumulative college GPA of 2.75 or higher

Responsibilities

• Work on real-world projects and learn from experienced engineers
• Assist environmental professionals with data review and regulatory submittals
• Support waste characterization, disposal activities, and compliance documentation
