Job summary

Duke Energy is offering an internship in the Waste and Groundwater Programs group within Environmental, Health, and Safety. You will assist with data review, regulatory submittals, and coordination with laboratories and regulators, gaining exposure to waste management and groundwater monitoring in multiple locations.

The role focuses on office-based technical work with opportunities to learn from experienced engineers, participate in mentorship, and develop professional skills.

Qualifications

• Must not graduate prior to August 2027.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist environmental professionals with review and management of analytical and compliance data.
• Prepare reports, plans, procedures, and regulatory submittals.
• Coordinate with laboratories, site personnel, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
• Support waste characterization and disposal activities, records reviews, permit and regulatory assessments.
