Job summary

Duke Energy Corporation invites engineering students to join our Waste and Groundwater Programs group as interns across multiple Florida and regional locations. You will work on real-world environmental projects under experienced engineers, gain hands-on experience, and learn regulatory processes while developing technical skills in CAD tools and MATLAB.

The internship lasts 10–12 weeks, with hybrid/onsite options, a housing stipend where applicable, and opportunities to network with

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited degree; graduating Aug 2027 or later.
• GPA 2.75 or higher required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willing to work 40 hours weekly and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist environmental professionals with data review and regulatory submittals.
• Support waste characterization and disposal activities.
• Prepare reports, plans, procedures, and regulatory submittals.
• Coordinate with laboratories, site personnel, regulators, and consultants.
