Duke Energy invites you to join our Waste and Groundwater Programs within Environmental, Health, and Safety as an engineering intern for the 2027 season across multiple locations. You will work on real-world projects under experienced engineers, gaining exposure to regulatory compliance, data analysis, and technical reporting.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in ABET-accredited Bachelor's or Master's in Civil, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering.
• Must not graduate before August 2027.
• Cumulative college GPA of 2.75 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist with review and management of analytical and compliance data.
• Prepare reports, plans, procedures and regulatory submittals.
• Coordinate with laboratories, site personnel, consultants, and regulatory agencies.
• Support waste characterization and disposal activities and continuous-improvement initiatives.
