Job summary

thyssenkrupp is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead I to coordinate activities on the warehouse floor and support ongoing operations. You will train staff, ensure safety, manage up to 15 team members, and maintain documentation and gear to meet customer requirements.

The role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to work variable shifts, and effective communication with both customers and supervisors. Training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset; on-the-job training available.
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Computer literate with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and email software.
• Safety Mindset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the inspection process and the inspection of customer products for the assigned tables.
• Lead by example, be organized, and practice good housekeeping in all areas of the facility.
• Ensure all employees work safely and per health and safety policies.
• Report accidents or incidents to a supervisor immediately.
• Coordinate shift start activities and ensure tools and materials are available.
• Provide on-the-job training for new work instructions.
• Be accountable for all personnel on assignments.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager on completion of objectives.
• Report policy or procedure violations to Onsite Manager.
• Support health and safety initiatives and requirements.
• Interact with the customer regularly to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure proper documentation and daily paperwork submission.
• Maintain required tool kits, PPE, and materials.
• Comply with customer and tk regulations and work rules.
