Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials Services is seeking a Warehouse Team Lead I to coordinate activities on the warehouse floor, train staff, and ensure customer requirements are met while following quality and safety processes.

The role requires supervising up to 15 people, strong organizational skills, and a proactive safety mindset. It involves daily interaction with customers and coordination of shift start activities and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset.
• Comfort with scanners/tablets for data keeping and time entries.
• Previous professional interactions with customers and/or vendors.
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Computer literate, MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and email.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the inspection process and inspect customer products for assigned tables.
• Lead by example; maintain organization and housekeeping.
• Ensure safety policies are followed and report incidents promptly.
• Coordinate shift start activities (table requirements, paperwork).
• Ensure tools and materials are available for on-site jobs.
• Provide on-the-job training for new instructions when applicable.
• Be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager on task completion and objectives.
• Report policy or procedure violations to Onsite Manager.
• Support health and safety initiatives and interactions with customers.
