Forklift Operator Jobs in Wichita

SBM Management is looking to hire a Forklift Operator to join their team! This position is responsible for operating gasoline, liquefied gas, or electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, scoop, lift beam and swivel hook, fork grapple, clamps, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials into cars, trucks, loading docks, or storage areas.

• Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
• Obtains copy of production schedule or shipping order and transports material or equipment to and from designated areas in the facility.
• Moves goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility by positioning forks, or lifting platform devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials or hooks tow trucks to trailer hitch.
• Loads and unloads goods from vehicles such as trucks and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
• Stacks goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions.
• Inventories materials on work floor, and supplies workers with materials as needed.
• Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels, or production schedules.
• Checks loads are secure and maintains a clean and safe environment.
• Performs daily equipment checks such as lubricating truck, recharging batteries, filling fuel tank, or replacing liquefied gas tanks.
• Removes machine attachments and waste material from machines.

• High school diploma / GED
• SBM will provide forklift training and certification
• Completed all safety and task training certifications.

Required: Valid Driver's License, Clean driving record and Forklift Certified. High school diploma/GED; Six months related experience/training

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 am-3:30 pm

Compensation: $16.00-$18.00 per hour
