Job summary

thyssenkrupp seeks a Warehouse Team Lead I to supervise the activities on the warehouse floor, provide on-the-job training, and ensure customer requirements are met while following quality and safety processes.

The role involves coordinating shift start activities, ensuring tools and PPE availability, and reporting performance to the Onsite Manager, with daily customer interaction and a strong safety focus on the work site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
• Reliable attendance is essential.
• Automotive/industrial setting experience is a plus; training provided.
• Comfort with scanners/tablets for data entry.
• Customer/vendor interactions.
• Basic English reading/writing.
• Computer literacy with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and email.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate activities in the assigned warehouse area.
• Provide on-the-job training as needed.
• Interact with the Customer at all management levels.
• Ensure completion of work and customer requirements with quality/safety processes.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager regarding performance.
• Ensure tools, PPE, and materials are available for jobs.
• Maintain documentation and paperwork daily.
• Lead shift start activities and coordinate table requirements and paperwork.
• Oversee inspection of customer products and enforce safety policies.
• Be on-the-floor leader and maintain housekeeping and safe practices.
• Report incidents to supervisors and ensure adherence to policies.
