Job summary

The Warehouse Team Lead I at thyssenkrupp Supply Chain Services will manage and coordinate activities in the assigned work area, providing on-the-job training as needed. You will interact with the customer at all management levels and ensure completion of work and customer requirements while adhering to quality and safety processes.

You may input to the Onsite Manager regarding performance and be accountable for all personnel assigned to specific jobs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience as a team lead or supervisor.
• Strong leadership and multi-tasking ability.
• Ability to manage a team of up to 15 people.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to work days, afternoons, nights, overtime and weekend shifts.
• Reliable attendance.
• Experience in automotive or industrial setting is an asset; training available.
• Comfortable with scanners and tablets for data keeping and time entries.
• Customer and vendor interactions experience.
• Must read, write and speak basic English.
• Computer literate: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email.
• Safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate activities of the assigned work area.
• Provide on-the-job training as needed.
• Interact with customers at all levels of management.
• Ensure completion of work and customer requirements.
• Maintain safety and quality processes.
• Coordinate shift start activities; ensure tools and materials are available.
• Provide input to Onsite Manager regarding performance.
• Ensure documentation and paperwork is submitted daily.
• Lead by example and maintain housekeeping.
• Oversee inspection process of customer products.
