Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in New Jersey to oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, load checking, loading and shipping. The role ensures continuity, productivity, efficiency and superb service to customers and vendors.

The candidate should have 3-5 years of warehouse supervisory experience, familiarity with RF devices and powered industrial trucks, and knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years equivalent education/work experience in a distribution center.
• 3-5 years of warehouse supervisory experience in a re-distribution/distribution center.
• Experience with handheld RF units.
• Voice recognition preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor the daily activities and performance of warehouse workers to assure compliance with procedures, quality, and safety.
• Assure quality performance through staffing, communication, and training.
• Manage employee performance through motivation, delegation, development and mentoring.
• Take corrective action as necessary following company policy.
• Lead pre-shift meetings and communicate policy changes to staff.
