Job summary

Sysco Northeast Rdc seeks a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, putaway, picking, and shipping to ensure efficiency, productivity, and excellent service. You will lead staffing, training, safety programs, and continuous process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a redistribution center, familiarity with RF devices, and knowledge of powered industrial trucks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3–5 years equivalent education/work experience in a distribution center.
• 3–5 years of warehouse supervisory experience in a redistribution/distribution center.
• Experience with handheld RF units.
• Voice recognition experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities of warehouse workers to ensure adherence to procedures, quality and safety.
• Ensure quality performance through staffing, communication and training.
• Manage employee performance through motivation, delegation, development, mentoring and conflict resolution.
• Address issues with timely corrective actions per policy and lead pre-shift meetings.
• Engage in staff selection, evaluations and terminations as needed.
• Review procedures and adjust operations for efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor departmental expenses and provide resources for daily activities.
• Suggest process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Enforce safety and housekeeping policies and conduct toolbox talks.
