Job summary

Sysco Northeast RDC is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse activities, including receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking, loading, and shipping. You will ensure continuity, productivity and superior service while leading staff, enforcing safety, and optimizing operations.

The role requires 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a distribution setting, knowledge of OSHA and WMS systems, and a valid forklift certification within two weeks of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3-5 years equivalent education/experience in a distribution center.
• 3-5 years of warehouse supervisory experience in a re-distribution/distribution center.
• Powered industrial truck certification required within two weeks of hire.
• Experience with RF units and voice recognition is a plus.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and warehouse operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily warehouse activities to ensure procedures, quality and safety.
• Staffing, training, and maintaining quality performance; manage employee performance.
• Take corrective action as necessary according to policy and safety standards.
• Lead pre-shift meetings, communicate changes, and address employee concerns.
• Participate in staff selection, evaluations, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Review procedures and adjust structure to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor expenses and provide resources to daily operations.
• Suggest process improvements to increase safety, productivity and reduce costs.
• Enforce policies; maintain safety and housekeeping standards; conduct toolbox talks.
