Job summary

POOLCORP offers the Management in Training - Operations (MIT) program, an entry-level, hands-on training track based in our distribution warehouses. It provides 6 months of guided learning in pool supply, irrigation, and landscape distribution, with nationwide opportunities after graduation.

The program begins on-site in January 2027, with relocation assistance and a path to Operations Supervisor/Manager roles. Training includes on-the-job and classroom components across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related discipline with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Work experience in a leadership and/or problem solving role.
• Willingness and ability to relocate during and after the program (at company expense) for career development opportunities.
• Ability to travel 25% of the time.
• Preferred: Bilingual (English/Spanish).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and inventory systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training in Operations, Management, and Purchasing.
• Observe experienced employees to learn methods, procedures, and standards of performance for a successful sales center.
• Shadow contractors/builders, service/maintenance, and retail store customers to learn their aspects of the business.
• Participate in classroom training sessions at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, TX, covering operations, leadership, and systems.
• Give comprehensive presentation to senior management on program completion.
