Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking candidates for its Management in Training - Operations (MIT) Program, an entry-level, hands-on track in our distribution warehouses. You’ll gain six months of guided exposure to pool supply, irrigation and landscape distribution, with path to Operations Supervisor or Manager roles nationwide.

Training is on-site; relocation assistance is provided. The program includes classroom and hands-on learning across Operations, Purchasing and Leadership, culminating in a presentation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Management, Operations or related field with at least a 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership or problem-solving experience in a distribution/supply chain context.
• Willingness to relocate during and after the program; relocation may be assisted by the company.
• Ability to travel about 25% of the time and to work in a distribution warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training across Operations, Management and Purchasing in the distribution center.
• Observe experienced staff to learn procedures, performance standards and center operations.
• Shadow contractors, service/maintenance, and customers to understand the pool and landscape business.
• Attend classroom sessions on leadership, finance and operating systems at EDGEucation Center in Plano.
• Deliver presentations to senior management upon program completion of MIT.
• Support additional duties and projects as assigned during the six-month program.
