Job summary

POOLCORP in Greensboro, NC, offers the Management in Training - Operations (MIT) Program, an entry-level, hands-on training track in our distribution warehouse. It provides 6 months of guidance and exposure to Operations, Purchasing, and Management.

Participants will shadow experienced staff, complete classroom training at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas, and may relocate during the program. A Bachelor's or Associate degree with a 2.5 GPA is required, plus leadership or team experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Management, Operations or related discipline with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership/problem solving experience in a role or internships, clubs or volunteer work.
• Desire and ability to work in a distribution warehouse environment.
• Ability to learn quickly, lead teams, and adapt to change.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training across Operations, Management and Purchasing.
• Observe experienced staff to learn methods, procedures and performance standards.
• Shadow contractors, service/maintenance, and store customers to learn the business.
• Set and achieve performance goals with the MIT Programs Manager and Employee Development Manager.
