Job summary

POOLCORP is seeking highly motivated individuals for its Management in Training - Operations (MIT) program. This entry-level, hands-on training path is based in our distribution warehouse and designed to launch a long-term career in operations management.

You will complete six months of guided training across Operations, Management, and Purchasing, with on-site experiences and classroom sessions at Plano EDGEucation Center.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Leadership or problem-solving experience.
• Desire to work in a distribution warehouse environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and lead a team.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; willingness to learn inventory software.
• Willingness to relocate out of state after training with company assistance.

Responsibilities

• Receive hands-on training in Operations, Management, and Purchasing.
• Observe experienced employees to learn methods, procedures, and standards of performance for a successful sales center.
• Shadow contractors/builders, service/maintenance, and retail store customers to learn their aspect of the swimming pool, irrigation and landscaping business.
• Participate in classroom training sessions at the EDGEucation Center in Plano, Texas.
• Learn management policies and procedures that affect each phase of business.
• Set and achieve performance goals with the MIT Programs Manager and Employee Development Manager.
• Deliver comprehensive presentations to senior management for completion of the Operations MIT program.
• Other job duties and special operations projects as assigned.
