Job summary

Sysco is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse activities including receiving, putaway, picking and shipping, ensuring productivity, accuracy and safety.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a distribution center, with familiarity of RF handheld devices and powered industrial trucks; OSHA compliance is essential. Strong leadership and communication skills are required for successful team management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 3–5 years equivalent education/work in a distribution center.
• 3–5 years warehouse supervisory experience in a re-distribution/distribution center.
• Experience with handheld RF unit.
• Voice recognition preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of powered industrial trucks.

Responsibilities

• Direct, coordinate and monitor daily activities of warehouse workers to ensure quality and safety.
• Ensure staffing and training to maintain quality performance.
• Manage employee performance through motivation, delegation and development.
• Take corrective action as necessary per company policy.
• Conduct pre-shift meetings to communicate policy changes and engage staff.
• Participate in staff selection, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Review procedures and optimize operations for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Monitor departmental expenses and provide resources for daily activities.
