Job summary

Arvato Direct Services Potsdam GmbH is seeking a motivated Operations Supervisor to manage labor and equipment in the warehouse, ensure timely, quality orders, and train staff on shifts. You will organize receiving, storage and distribution, prioritizing orders with precision while maintaining safety and process standards.

The role focuses on supervising employees, monitoring KPIs, and ensuring adherence to 5S and quality procedures in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Experience with picking, packing, and shipping tasks.
• SAP or equivalent WMS systems experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with inventory research.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Responsibilities

• Hire and train new employees for the department.
• Supervise and coordinate activities on the floor.
• Receive and transfer materials.
• Monitor KPIs and performance of staff.
• Document and ensure procedures and quality controls.
• Maintain supplies and equipment levels.
• Adhere to customer shipping requirements.
• Update time-keeping and metrics in WMS reports.
• Ensure end-of-shift procedures are completed.
• Support process improvements across the department.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Understand traffic coordination and routing.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
