Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Lead Engineer to advance our Continuous Improvement culture across the operation. You will drive data-driven CI and automation to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost, partnering with leadership to deliver tangible results.

You will manage CI projects, coach teams in lean methods, and interface with various stakeholders to sustain improvements and enable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and 7+ years in warehousing, transportation or manufacturing.
• 7+ years in related warehousing/transportation or manufacturing experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Data visualization tools (PowerBI/Tableau) and database programming (SQL, DAX).
• Experience with Leader Standard Work, Visual Management Systems and PDCA methods.

Responsibilities

• Collects data and performs statistics; maps processes and identifies gaps; develops and executes CI plans.
• Manages high impact CI projects to drive safety, quality, delivery, cost and growth.
• Coaches teams in lean, QA and CI principles; leads cross-functional projects.
