Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy advanced automation technologies in our distribution centers. You will collaborate with operations, IT, and solution design teams to validate concepts, create ROI analyses, and drive implementation across sites.

Responsibilities include supporting vendor evaluations, validating SOWs, and coordinating SAT testing and post-go-live support, while leveraging data analytics to optimize capacity and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse automation technologies and materials handling.
• Experience in RFP support, ROI analysis and contract validation.
• Knowledge of vendor evaluation, design validation and SAT testing appreciated.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation selection and ROI justification for new business opportunities within RFPs and projects.
• Support SOW/FSD validation and identify gaps using established checklists.
• Provide input on design options for clearance, power, cost effectiveness and SLA targets.
• Lead procurement activities and review vendor options and quotes.
• Manage smaller project milestones and update project plans and punch lists.
• Coordinate SAT testing and post-go-live support, including uptime considerations.
• Perform data analysis to optimize automation performance and system integrations.
