Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Automation Engineer to identify, pilot, and deploy advanced warehouse automation technologies.

You will work with operations, IT, and solution design teams to validate concepts and scale successful pilots across multiple sites. The role covers ROI analysis, project management for smaller deployments, data analytics, and collaboration with vendors to ensure uptime and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in industrial/ mechanical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in warehouse automation or related systems.
• Experience with material handling or automation tech.

Responsibilities

• Lead automation technology selection and ROI justification for new bids.
• Validate vendor SOW and FSD gaps using checklist.
• Provide input on design options for performance and cost.
• Support procurement, vendor reviews, and quotes.
• Manage smaller projects and track milestones.
• Coordinate on-site support and SAT testing.
• Analyze data to optimize warehouse systems.
• Support SAT testing and punch list tracking.
