Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Federal Way, WA. This role is ideal for a dependable shipping and receiving professional who takes pride in accuracy, organization, safety, and keeping warehouse operations moving efficiently.

The Warehouse Associate will support receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping documentation, and material movement in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and related documentation.
• Load and unload trucks safely, and move materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts as needed.
• Pick, pack, label, and prepare orders for shipment through UPS, FedEx, LTL, and other freight carriers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, complete cycle counts, and report discrepancies, damaged goods, or shipping errors.
• Organize, stock, and maintain warehouse inventory to support efficient storage, accessibility, and workflow.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized while following all company safety policies and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay: $24.00 to $25.00 per hour.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Support daily shipping, receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory control operations.
• Prepare shipping documentation, labels, packing slips, bills of lading, and carrier paperwork.
• Perform cycle counts, maintain inventory accuracy, and help resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, and operations teams to ensure timely material movement.
• 3+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, warehouse operations, logistics, inventory control, or a related field.
• Ability to provide 2-3 professional references from previous supervisors, managers, or employers.
• Experience working with purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and shipping documentation.
• Basic computer skills and experience using inventory systems, warehouse management systems, or similar tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and work on your feet throughout the day.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, dependability, and commitment to safe work practices.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently with minimal supervision, and communicate effectively with team members.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification and/or recent forklift operating experience.
• Experience with inventory management software or ERP systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, industrial, or logistics warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of UPS, FedEx, LTL, and freight shipping processes.
• Experience conducting cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliations.
