Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA. This role supports daily parcel, freight, and mail operations while helping ensure accurate delivery tracking, efficient dock activity, and excellent service for internal teams and clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move, and distribute freight, parcels, and mail while following safety and efficiency procedures.
• Support dock operations, including organizing shipping and receiving areas and assisting with daily workflow.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs, time stamps, and documentation to support chain of custody and compliance standards.
• Provide professional customer service to employees, clients, and internal departments.
• Use technology and tracking systems to monitor deliveries, update records, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Assist with additional operational tasks during downtime and support other warehouse or logistics needs as assigned.

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay Rate: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour.
• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire.
• Location: Sunnyvale, CA.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Manage daily shipping, receiving, parcel, freight, and mail handling activities.
• Support dock operations, freight movement, and organized workflow in shipping and receiving areas.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• 3 to 5 years of related logistics, warehouse, mailroom, or freight handling experience is a strong fit for this role.
• Current state-issued driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Ability to lift, move, and maneuver freight up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, sit, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency using technology to track deliveries, maintain records, and support accurate reporting.
• Strong organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills.
• Professional customer service mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Must be able to work assigned hours as determined by the manager.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in parcel delivery, mailroom operations, dock support, or warehouse logistics.
• Experience maintaining chain of custody documentation or delivery tracking records.
• Familiarity with shipping and receiving systems, handheld scanners, or delivery management tools.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced logistics or warehouse environment.
